The FIRST DEFENCE METHOD was designed to give individuals the tools to protect themselves in a short period of time, there is elements of 5 different standing martial art forms which combined together deliver a powerful effective easy to learn system, this is not a sport or fitness class.
Why was the FIRST DEFENCE METHOD created?
Many traditional martial arts work on a basis of training over a period of years to develop a solid technique, over that period of time you will be graded and awarded a certificate of competence, many of our clients don’t have the time to train several times per week, we have combined years of training into a simple effective method that can be picked up easily.
Who should attend FIRST DEFENCE METHOD training?
Our self defence training includes participant, application and practice, the training is designed for the everyday person, training covers personal safety awareness in your daily life. We focus on awareness, avoidance & escape, verbal diffusion.
How long does it take to learn the FIRST DEFENCE METHOD?
On a one to one basis it will take 6 hours to learn, you will be able to utilise the training straight away.
Do I need to be fit to attend training?
You do not have to be fit or sporty self defence training is a life skill and not a fitness or martial arts class, The content in each workshop covers real life safety awareness concerns and real life attack patterns.
Do I need experience in martial arts?
You do not need to have any martial arts experience to learn our self defence skills. The self defence training sessions are specifically designed for the everyday person aged 16+ both male and females.
